Government Decree no. 47/2020. (III. 18.) and no. 62/2020. (III. 24.) has imposed a moratorium on loan repayments.

If you do not wish to be included in the moratorium, you have to ask our bank separately.

Please note, that our branches are open to clients as usual.

Protecting our customers is a primary consideration, so if you choose personal administration in a branch

  • please make sure to make an appointment beforehand to avoid a long waiting time. This allows us to limit the number of persons waiting in the closed space of a branch, preventing the spread of the coronavirus disease.
  • keep a physical distance of one and a half meters from others inside and outside the branch

Providing a debit or credit card
Purchases with debit or credit cards in Hungary

In view of the coronavirus pandemic, the Government has issued a Decree ordering banks and card companies to raise the current limit of HUF 5 000 for contactless card payments, above which it is mandatory to enter the PIN code, to HUF 15 000 by April 15, 2020, at the latest. This means that in the future, for contactless card payments it will not be necessary to enter the PIN code into the POS terminal for transactions below HUF 15 000 in value, making payments fast and truly contactless.

how are bank branches open? Has the opening hours changed?

Bank branches are mostly open to our customers as usual. However, please limit your visits to those cases when physical presence is absolutely necessary.

Our bank branches in malls are closed on Saturdays until the emergency ends, and instead of Wednesdays and Thursdays longer opening hours, all of our bank branches currently are uniformly open, with the following opening hours:

  • Monday: 8:00 - 17:00
  • Tuesday: 8:00 - 16:00
  • Wednesday: 8:00 - 16:00
  • Thursday: 8:00 - 16:00
  • Friday: 8:00 - 15:00

do I need to make an appointment before going to the bank?

Yes, since March 18, 2020, our customers can only arrive at our bank branches on appointment. 
Appointments can be made by telephone or through the  page at the affected account.

do all services work in the bank branch?

Yes, all services are still available in K&H Bank branches, but we ask our customers to contact our bank branches in person only if it is necessary.
